I think the white tag / label near the belt / jeans is actually on the bottom of the jacket or undershirt... Re the gloves - the still photos make it look blurry and bulky like gloves, but in the video it looks a lot more like hands Very interesting case

This one hits close to home for me. I just bought a freezer last night from American Freight on Telegraph in Taylor. I just fucking drove past this place because I made fun of the Yum Yum donut place. The interesting thing about Telegraph is that it is a split highway, so you would have to do a U-turn to head in a different direction in this area. This seems to be on the side that heads north, so they would have to do a full turn around. The unfortunate thing is there are a lot of people that drive like they stole their cars, so a wreck less driver would go unnoticed. You also do not bat an eye at someone walking along Telegraph, this is a high vehicle traffic area as well as high foot traffic area, but I also only have a reference from 5PM and after so that could be different at this time.

Taylor MI is very much a rust belt city of mills, car factories and such. This guy looks like he is wearing a typical uniform for one of those large facilities; the white strip on the pants look like a bar code tag - my husband works at a steel mill and has the same style cargo pants with the same rectangle white decal with a bar code so when they turn the uniforms in for cleaning they are returned to the correct person. Wish I could send a pic it makes so much sense when you see it. This guy looks to me like he is dressed for going in to work where you are required to wear fireproof clothes and be completely covered and tucked. It doesn't narrow it down because places like that have hundreds of employees but this guy seems smart as hell and probably knew where to park. Is that a silencer on the gun? Don't see that very often, this guy knew what he was doing. He was calm and organized and I don't think it was his first time executing someone.

He knows the place very well I think by the ease of opening the door to get behind the counter no pause to figure out lock or anything. And why kill someone before you get the cash especially if you need access to safe or cash drawer. I don’t think robbery is a motive. And I think he knew the layout and operation well if the business

It looks like the man is wearing the thin latex gloves (flesh tone). The only reason I can think for this poor young women’s killing is this person has been a frequent customer & she would easily recognize him. Just a thought.

Good point that, while the turdbag that shot Ms. Small used a sound suppressor on his gun and said accoutrement was recently stolen from within the vicinity, it doesn't necessarily mean same said turdbag stole them as well. It does mean, though, that illegal sound suppressors were available for purchase. Captain: sweet Fat Joe nod

IMO, that is a NY Yankees hat with the baseball player logo thing on the left side it's usually red white and blue, those are tennis shoes, I think they are a typical cheap Faux Leather Payless Shoes or Walmart brand with a Vans type swoosh you can see it on the instep of his right shoe as he exits the store in the video's and online images on google. Also, no gloves just a pasty dude. His t-shirt which is white hangs out a slight bit from under his coat. The only advice I have is to go through, which I am sure the FBI/Police?Sheriff investigators have the people with warrants out in that state and surrounding, there are websites dedicated to this by state and county. He probably grabbed the hat when he stole the suppressors/silencers, as soon as I saw the image it was super obvious that he had one installed. I do think it was a related to the stollen silencers from the sporting goods store with the name I can not spell or say out loud, as I tried to do both while driving home tonight. Tragic case, not sure if it was a hit he just could have known he had the upper hand, had he done this before, IDK either. If this is a hit look close to home. What a sick man, hope he is dead, rotting from the inside out, in a mental hell hole, a tortured soul, and so on, you're a surefire coward. @ Ven - that is a great question... So I asked the detective could this "hit" if it was that be intended for someone else? The person originally scheduled to work that day? The company nor the police will say who was to be working that day for obvious privacy concerns. That was the first answer I got. So my follow up was if I walked in and I didn't know either of them would I be able to tell them from one another with just a brief description of only one of them? He said Yes. That if you went there looking for one of them it would be obvious that the person you were looking for was not working that day. The other detective brought up a good point too - if it were a professional hit with a different target, then they would have had another body months later. Again no one is saying it is a hit, because we don't know. We need to ID this guy! Cheers Nic

@ Nic - Thanks for the reply. I never considered the lack of a 2nd victim if it had been a case of mistaken identity. It looks a lot more like a targeted assassination than a robbery. I'm sure there were easier targets in the vicinity that would've paid out higher without the troubles of a locked door and video surveillance if the crime had been money motivated.

This post rang so close to home as someone that managed a payday loan company for many years. That looks to definitely be a file folder, probably his own, that he put in the bag. Those companies rip people's heads off and I would be lying if I said I was never afraid of this happening to me in all my time there. Disgruntled and financially unstable people are the business.

Just gotta say, used to love your podcasts, but they are getting boring. We dont need to hear a million tomes how much the crime was covered by news outlets...we come here to hear it covered. Repetitive and uninteresting after the first 30 mins of part one. Make it one or add actual content on the CASE and WHAT HAPPENED.

I was manager of a gun store for a few years and just wanted to further comment on the suppressor issue. The $200 is JUST the fee to the government—that does not include the cost of the suppressor! Love the show!

Just on the item about the gun jam, It was probably a failure to feed due to the gun not being modified to work with a suppressor or a poor choice of ammo rather than the "wrong" suppressor being fitted to the gun. I think you said 2 handguns and 15 suppressors got stolen from that store? If one of the guns had a threaded barrel and was a .45 I think you have a strong link to the murder weapon. Regardless those 15 are in excess of $10K on the legal market More info: https://www.silencershop.com/blog/post/common-silencer-cycling-issues https://www.silencercentral.com/blog/silencer-common-barrel-thread-patterns/
