I was under the belief that both these guys were exonerated for this murder in 1994 and a man by the name of Anthony Buell was convicted for this crime. Is that not correct?

Nic, just was alerted of part 2! I should have know you and the Capn had a bigger plan! My apologies for ever doubting you two. Best true crime podcast out there. I travel for work and have to have “The Garage” on my headphones at night to sleep. Thanks guys, cheers!

NOT RELATED TO THE CASE... but when the cap'n says "and that's enough of the business" he should say "enough of the beers'ness" :P OK, tuning into the case now. Just had to share while it was fresh on my mind. You guys are awesome! The ONLY true crime podcast that I've listened to for *years* in a row, without stopping, and haven't gotten sick of/annoyed with. Keep it up! Fellow Ohioan, here and GO BROWNS! Go Buckeyes!

I live in Chippewa Lake. Which is 2.5 miles from the truck stops. I remember when the old 76 was there. It's since been torn down and now it's an empty lot now across from Pilot. I was remember when the Pilot was Speedway. And yes the gas and diesal islands were separate from what I can remember. I was born in 87 and my mom used to take to the 76 to do the same thing. I remember going into the restaurant, riding the penny pony ride outside. I remember when it was torn down in the mid to late 90's

Maybe you could've thrown a "douche canoe" at the prosecutor of the first case. How does a lady get to testify (much less be believed) when there are police officers testifying against her credibility? This ridiculousness happens so often we all just seem to say "oh, that sucks" and move on. Maybe the prosecutors pushing this stuff into court should do the time for perjury instead of the low IQ person.

When it comes to what Roy heard, the db who took Krista could have simply asked her what his name was, so he could be super creepy using his name.

Hi Christina - yes I assumed that is what went down. The perp purposely said Roy's name to him - this implies a threat to the youngster. The - I know who you are - type threat. 2 more episodes coming this week. Cheers Nic

Reading Roy’s account of Krista crying as she went with the monster, I think he likely told Krista he would harm Roy if she didn’t go with him. Then saying Roy’s name was more than a taunt.

Nick is def Crispy Goat. Honestly he’s so good that it makes listening to other true crime shows difficult to get into. Only the highest quality produced podcasts even come close to measuring up. Long live TCG.

Austin is my hometown but Lived in Pflugerville when it was a sleepy little town in 3rd grade. Now it’s almost a suburb of Austin and all those old German Pfluger family members who owned land are all millionaires. They have an Octoberfest type of thing there called Deutchenfest when COVID isn’t happening and it’s very fun. Loads of beer, y’all would love it! I really enjoy your podcast and have been listening shopping around case to case note for almost 2 years! Keep up the deep dive episodes. I love them! Also I went to school with the yogurt shop murder victims in the late 80’s.

I do listen to the higher rated crime podcasts, and I believe True Crime Garage does a better and more thorough job. I noticed that a very popular podcast goes no longer than 57 minutes with mostly one show per case, whereas you do two or more shows for most of your cases. Definitely True Crime Garage puts in more work. Kudos!

@ Patricia - we are very lucky that so many garage guys and gals have donated to the beer fund. Frankly we are having trouble drinking all of these beers - ha! Shout outs, we hit about 12 a week. If you keep setting them up we will keep knocking them down - cheers!

Firstly, the crispy colonel is absolutely the GOAT. Secondly, the Kelly Ann Prosser case reminded me a lot of the Asenath Dukat case that took place 2 years before, the little girl from UA who disappeared on her walk home from school and was found murdered. I’m wondering if the man convicted in Kelly Ann’s case had any ties to Asenath’s case.

Hi Matt - yes this is true but try it some time if you have not. It's not always as easy as making a simple change. I emailed multiple times as In that case I was not able to make the changes. I can't remember exactly why. I do remember trying to list a true crime garage episode on some cases we have covered on current wiki pages and every time I am denied because Wiki says we are just trying to promote the show. I feel we are just trying to point persons in the direction of where they can find more information maybe even better information about a case. Anyone who would like to try to help TCG get on some of these Wiki pages - please help! Cheers Nic

Hi B Ren - Asenath's case is one that has been with me for years and one I have followed. I have been working on her case (Seenie's) for a while. While it is entirely possible that the crimes were committed by the same offender - I don't think it is very likely. There are some really good suspects in Seenie's case - three of them - so good that I am shocked and frankly appalled that the case has not been solved. To be fair to UA police - I will admit Seenie's case is complicated but a better job was needed! Cheers Nic

I only know this because it happened in the Bay Area but Richard Ramirez killed at least one child - nine year old cutie Mei Leung - who was raped, stabbed, strangled and hung from a pipe. Heart breaking.

New listener here, thanks to a friend telling a friend. I have been going back through old episodes and just so happened to listen to ep 54 right after this 4 parter and whoa did you guys ever change your tune about the "nephew" in this new episode, What gives? Ep 54 made it sound like there was no way this guy wasn't involved, then the statement in part 4 here that he is just the "nephew" please say more about this. Cheers to you both!

Hi Jake, Back in ep 54 we were looking at this through James Renner's theories. It's not impossible however we have to say that Bob Buell's Dan was linked to the two child victims. Ralph Ross's Dan was not found on the child victims. And as we know the nephew no longer lived with Buell when the surviving adult victim escaped the house. The two very different perspectives come after a deep dive personally into these cases. Back when we interviewed Renner we prepped for the interview and we had not gone through Buell's case in that great of detail. Cheers Nic

I have to agree with the Captain.....Nic, you are beyond amazing. Definitely the "GOAT" of true crime podcasts. TCG was my first podcast....instantly obsessed and I never miss an episode! Captain, never underestimate your greatness and the magic you bring to every episode with your comments and phenomenal music. You have a talent for an appropriate brevity in subjects that can be heavy. (And yes, it is "sophisticated" to suggest electric shock to the testicles of any P. O.S that would harm a child!). TCG is above all others. Thank you for all the hard work you guys put into every episode. CHEERS 🍻

Captain, getting porn "online" in the early 80s, would be quite a feat. Nic, you spoke of how this guy had a public indecency offense expunged. I always bristle when I hear that, as those incidents are generally a first step towards later sexual crimes.
