Is the only indication Ray was engaged to this Lynn chick just her saying so? How do they know she's not just unstable and it's all in her head? It's weird no one in his fam even knew they were in a relationship. Was there any pictures of them together, anyone else who knew about it, a ring, anything?

@ All - some of the CT Consultant people knew about the relationship - not sure if they knew of the engagement. But after Ray's death a receipt was found in his apartment for an engagement ring - purchased after he left his wife. It's very difficult this angle because Ray's family knew nothing of this woman and then she refuses to talk after he is killed other than at the funeral. But here at the funeral she wants to talk with his family - missed opportunity. Ray's family believes that Lynne had a key to his apartment. - Nic

A word to "The Captain". At around the midway point you make a 'snide' remark that it's suspicious that the fiance would 'lawyer up'. Don't you guys do quite a few EP's mentioning how people give false confessions, after many hours of interrorgation? And get bullied by the police and later get exonerated by DNA etc.. You SHOULD be fucking applauding EVERYONE involved in a criminal investigation who "lawyer's up", rather than making snide remarks saying it's "suspicious". It's the complete opposite dude, it's actually being smart, and NOT dumb.

I find Lynn's actions confusing. She felt the need to go to Timbrook's funeral, where no one knew of her or her relationship with Raymond to speak with the family, but she's unwilling to talk with law enforcement? I think something is up with that, or she's trying to be spiteful. Either way, it seems she would be more willing to cooperate.

Still working through part 1. I hope I get to hear more about the victim's partners in his CT firm, and that firm's relationship for the developers who had engaged its services in this development project. Were things going smoothly?

I would also 'lawyer up' if I ever got called down for questioning. I would also demand that the entire interview be videotaped. Too many corrupt people out there.

I think it’s suspicious too that the fiancé lawyered up. I know it’s their right to do so, but there’s always a part of me that wonders what info they’re hiding. If it was a murder done because of a company thing, maybe she has been threatened.? It’s hard to guess. Some people say if you have nothing to hide then hide nothing. Interesting case. Captain, I like your gib!! Guy in above nasty comment is wrong & out of line!!

There isn't a lot of information about the George character. You mentioned a possible love triangle? I would think that that would be the angle the police chased. So Mr Timbrook was shot execution style behind his left ear. Could the killer have been in the back seat rather than outside the car? If that would be the case, would there be finger prints or touch DNA inside the door handles and things of that nature? I am just curious how much forensics were done, and if they still have evidence that can be tested. Did they keep the car? Were George and Lynn fingerprinted.....again just curious as they are the prime persons of interest. I understand that this case is 30+ years old, but technology has advanced so much, and Raymond's sons deserve some answers and definitely closure.

I agree with Amber above. Lynn's behavior is weird. I would lawyer up too but for her to just flat out not cooperate, and not show herself until the funeral even though she's supposed to be his fiancee. Maybe be she's just a weirdo but it should be looked into. I feel she may have something to do w it

I think the murder was a hit to hide corruption or other wrong doing and that Lynn and George were warned not to talk or the same would happen to them.

Nic said the co-workers didn't come forward, they lawyered up. Maybe they were threatened after Ray was murdered and knew they would be next if they talked.

So you discussed the love triangle and business angles, but it would be interesting if there was a Friday the 13th angle. Although, I wouldn’t necessarily think this murder is characteristic of that.
