I’d look at it another way; with Keyes known to have been in the area, the $20 atm withdrawal m/o, his confession to a NY murder, and the fact that she sadly has never been found, What is the statistical chance that he was not involved? Just chucking that out there Another top episode

hey guys love the podcast and love researching the cases as I listen. As I was looking at the latest episodes and browsing the site I was wondering if yall would look into the Suzanne Morphew Case she went missing on mothers day and has yet to be found she is from the tiny town of Maysville, CO. My coworkers, boss, and I are all thinking the same, her husband had a part in it.

I’m assuming the camera at the store where the ATM was located wasn’t able to see the entrance/exit door since that would have been able to show if the boyfriend entered the store. It’s a shame that perhaps all it would have taken to solve this case is just having a camera at the ATM.

OK. So, I am confused about something. If Suzanne (herself) did the ATM withdrawals ... why would she take out only $20 ... yet, do it multiple times? If a murderer / thief / kidnapper did the ATM withdrawals ... why would they take out only $20 ... and not try to steal more money from the account? I am stuck on this detail. Thanks!

Wondering if this gal was involved in the online RUSH community. Perhaps that’s a slim chance of getting additional info.

To respond to joes comment about the 20$ withdrawals—-I wondered myself. I always thought maybe the boyfriend made the withdrawals Knowing how she only withdrew 20 at a time create a fake trail of some kind. He knew her habits

Part 1 seemed to be focused on examining the facts of the case and trying to deduce viable suspects. Part 2 was random rabbit holes. I think she was most likely victimized by someone she knew. I am a huge Rush fan like she was, she sounded really cool. Very sad

Responding to Meg ... about the $20 ATM withdrawals ... Thanks Yeah, I have a "gut feeling" that the boyfriend is involved And, as you say, he may have had a sinister scheme to mimic her habits at ATM withdrawals ... But, if I were stealing from an ATM ... I'd be more concerned about cameras ... in fact, I thought that all ATM's had "automatic" cameras already installed in them ... no ... ?

I was really excited to see this case covered, so many other podcasts have focused on the potential link to Keyes but this outlined other possible perpetrators which was refreshing. There is always a possibility of Keyes involvement which is frightening and makes for a good story but Occam’s razor makes it far more likely that someone close to Suzzy is involved Nic/captain thanks for your episodes!

Thanks for another great episode. It always amazes me how many shady people are in or around the victims life. Hey Nic, are those two recliners for rent housed in a white van? Asking for a friend. LOL!

Great episode as usual, guys! I personally think that Regan (sp?) dude is responsible. Her boyfriend and his family are extremely bizarre, but I think they're just weird, and not involved in the crime. Especially the mother... she sounds like one of those people who likes to control everything and be the center of attention.

Just started this episode because I've been working my way through the old ones. Thought I'd point out that State University of New York isn't one school with many campuses the schools you mentioned are completely different colleges just within the SUNY system. That basically just means they are public colleges and get funding from the state. I believe there's a similar system in most other states. I just wanted to clarify because its not like she'd be going to the same school farther away each school is vastly different they're just all cheaper than private universities.

Israel Keyes can be a fall back for many missing people but he is a legit suspect with Suzanne. In 2012 he said he had been doing this for 14 years. A credible witness came forward in 2013 and said she recognized Keyes looks and voice. In 1998 he had approached her in a Marshalls parking lot just across the highway from the mall where Suzanne worked and across the street from the Army recruiter that Keyes used to join the Army in 1998. He would use chat and computer games to lure victims as well. He had access to his family's property in NY as well. The fact that nothing of Suzanne has been found is what fits with Keyes so well. Great show though and do love hearing all the possibilities!

To those asking about why only $20 was taken out of her account. Her mother stated that it was typical for Suzy to only take out $20 from her account.
