I love, love, love your podcast. But I'm not as big a fan of the interview as I am of your usual weekly set up. I feel like it can be harder to follow along with the time line and get all the facts in the interview format. If you continue to do the interviews, is there a way you could do a summary of all the information either at the end or beginning of the podcast? Listening to this one, I'm a little lost at what is happening and when.

Good idea Heather. We could probably use a summary at the end as well. Cheers, Nic

Has anyone ever checked to see if Felix could be the East Side rapist aka the Original Nightstalker? There are so many similarities -- the mother fixation, the body odor. They have the rapist's DNA. Do they have Felix's?

I would like to know why Gina thinks Felix is a pedophile. I can't find anywhere that he has been accused or charged.

Huge fan of the show, I've listened to a lot of similar podcasts but this is defiantly the most captivating. I actually got a bunch of my high school buddies into it as well and after work when we head to the shore for the weekends we listen to this podcast on the ride down. We stop it at points of the ride and talk about our opinions on the case and say "classic captain" whenever the captain makes a funny remark, love listening to you guys! I just finished the HOB doc's on the west memphis three and watch the jinx as well recently. I was just wondering if you guys had any other recommendations for documentaries. big ups!

Lorie, Felix has not been charged in crimes against children. Gina found pictures of naked children in his journals. She through investigative work tracked down the kids, now adults. They told her he "did stuff" to them but neither wanted to come forward. They didn't want their names out there. Nic

This was an amazing couple of episodes. Generally I prefer you guys going over cases to interviews, but this rocked. I loved the way you put everything together. I'm assuming that it wasn't a real time interview and that you cut and pasted to keep everything in order and to make sure the questions kept the interview working as a story. Great work. And Gina Frenzel is brilliant! So smart and interesting and funny and gutsy and compassionate. I want her on TV -- a reality private investigator show. Though I guess you can't do undercover once you're famous. Alas.

Thank you all for the nice words. We get nervous releasing these interview shows because it is such a break from the normal format. Gina was amazing and so much fun to talk to. The phone interview with her actually took about 4 hours. You are right Gina has the perfect personality for tv. If you google her you can see her in some sit down interviews. If anyone in Texas needs a private investigator, look her up. Thanks again everyone! Cheers, Nic

New listener who made a RT drive trip from Lakeland to Louisville go so much faster when listening to a dozen shows. I enjoyed the interview w Gina as it was different and she really had a personality that made her compelling to listen. Something different in the normal mix was good.

Philly Nick brother, you got to listen to our top ten true crime doc show. If you don't have time to listen here's my suggestion. Check out the Aileen Wuornos documentaries there are two of them and they are fantastic. Similar to the Paradise lost stuff.... Grainy footage and audio glitches..... I love that stuff! Total blue collar, hard working camera on the shoulder shit. Catching people in lies or awkward moments. Check them out soon. Nic

Loved this episode. Interview format was different but once I got into the story I found myself hooked and my eyes going wide throughout most of it. Can't even imagine the courage it must take to sit next to someone you know is a killer...

I absolutely love this damn podcast! My husband and friends think I am an absolute NUT JOB. I ALWAYS listen to your show while I am enjoying alone time SEWING clothes for myself! Now if that doesn't sound like a total NERD fest, I'm not sure what does... HA! Anyways, You guys rock and I love all your shows. Gina did a great job and I loved her personality; hopefully she has more cases that could be of interest to the show in the future. Oh that reminds me, please get some more douche canoe shirts, I spaced ordering one! :)

Thanks Jalissa and Kace J! It is a wild story. I recommend checking out the series "Gone" done by the USA Today. It's Jerry Mitchell's story about Felix Vail and really what brought one of the victims mother and Gina into the investigation. And Kace my whole life is a nerd fest! Cheers, Nic

I need to look up Felix a bit. Listening to these podcasts about him makes me think he's innocent and she's a bulldog looking for false confessions. I don't know his story and I guess it's a good thing I'm not in position of trying to identify a criminal. To me, he sounds weird, inapropriate, not trust worthy and back woods but a killer? Sort of feels like a stretch based on these episodes.

August please start by looking up the death of his first wife. That's the ringer. He admits to being the last one to see her alive. He says she died accidentally. When she was found it was obvious she was struck in the head, a scarf stuffed down her mouth and she had oil all over her cloths. The oil is presumably from the docks. He at the very least killed his first wife. Cheers, Nic

Just heard today about a girl age 18-25 found dead near a campsite in 1971 in Josephine County, Oregon which is supposedly close to California. Wondering if this may be the "Swedish" girl Felix Vail was talking about to the private detective lady They named her "Annie Doe"

Love this podcast! The interview style is so fascinating... I really got the creeps imagining myself in her shoes.
