I just started listening to y'all last week and have binged every free download. Now I have to go back and get the older episodes from the store. If I disappear, my husband killed me. Lol. Seriously though, love you guys. My best friend lives in the Columbus area. More specifically, Groveport. Love all the episodes. Have you considered the Tabitha Tuders case? She disappeared without a trace from Nashville in April of 2003. That stands out in my mind because my oldest was 11 at the time. Just two years younger. And Holly Bobo. The trial(s) for her killers are pending. Tabitha is still missing.

I had to laugh at Captain's comment about teaching children while talking about murder on the internet being frowned upon. One of my students recently made an Ed Gein joke and I didn't know if I should lose my mind or pretend not to get it... Love you guys, keep up the great work representing Cbus! Ps. Have you ever thought about a local TCG meet up?

Wow...dude, that video with those computer generated faces just staring at me for what felt like an hour while just audio played was the creepiest shit I've sat thru since my mother-in-law sat at my kitchen table and denied having any idea why we would ever accuse her of having serious mental issues...scary.

Listening to the Body Barrel episodes at work and I may not be listening as closely as I should but was Robert Evans DNA compared to the girls in the barrels? I know you mentioned one may be his child with a wife that was listed on some paperwork he had filled out.

I remember reading about this when the second barrel was found. A little more information about the discovery of the first bodies (you know--don't open any barrels you find): according to the Boston Globe some kids were rolling the barrel around and the top came off and dumped the trash bags on the ground. The hunters actually found the open barrel. Somehow that makes me feel slightly better about the hunters. https://www.bostonglobe.com/metro/2015/11/09/thirty-years-later-murders-woman-girls-continues-baffle/I7n4d1NKACqfFhnIwAnVVP/story.html

I'm confused, maybe I am misunderstanding it, but why are the 4 bodies not the Bowden girls that are missing? also I dont remember it being mentioned how long the bodies in the drums were sitting there, is the idea that the can discovered in 2000 was there back in 85 but they just never looked in it, or was it dumped later?

When I heard this case, I immediately thought, this must be a case of polygamy and some kind of cult that's outside the normal social limits. I cannot imagine having members of your family disappear and not being concerned. My initial thoughts are that the 6 month old child was the middle child and "Bob Evans" went on to have a second child with Denise in a remote area that was Lisa. I think he killed them all and then moved to CA. I hope he suffers horribly in death.

Murder Timeline thoughts: -The mother of Victim #3 was Robert "Bob" Evans' first murder (at least pertaining to this case). -Bob soon meets Victims #1, #2, and #4 and either uses #1 as a live-in "babysitter" to his own daughter (maybe to help #1 out while she was homeless/jobless) OR as a romantic partner, ultimately using her to get to her children. He stays with her and the kids for a year or so until he murders them all. -Bob Evans then meets Denise Beaudoin and murders her last.

Honestly, I've been listening to you guys for a while and I'm getting quite sick of the captain's sexism. I found that joke about Kim Kardashian very distasteful. I want to hear about true crime, not about the captain's issues with women. Since he made those comments about prostitutes in previous episodes, I've seriously considered unsubscribing and telling everyone on my true crime subreddits and blogs to do the same. He needs to apologize.

What about one of those religious Cult groups? They wouldn’t list her as missing. And they wouldn’t call police

That's a great thought Amy. Strange enough I think behind the scenes LE are still moving on this thing. There has been more movement on this case in the last 2-3 years than ever in this case. I'm thinking you could be on to something. The victims were very likely not from the area in which they were found. Personally out of all of the strange cases I have read about this one might take the cake. Cheers Nic

They should run the DNA of the unidentified victims through the ancestry.com and 23 and Me databases. There is a DNA match search that picked up several of my cousins. LE could probably find some distant relatives and start to narrow down their identities.
