Hi guys, I just started listening to the show and I love it! So I thought I would share my thoughts on the Moonlight Murders and why the Betty Jo Booker and Paul Martin were found so far from their car and each other. According to the Wikipedia article on thie killings, Betty and Paul had known each other since kindergarten, yet Betty told her classmates and the fellow band member who normally drove her to and from gigs, that she didn't want to go with Paul Martin but felt obliged to because he was an old friend. So, why didn't Betty want to go out with Paul Martin? Maybe because she knew he had an ulterior motive. So here's my theory of events. Paul parks in an isolated spot and makes sexual advances towards Betty. She rejects him and either gets out of the vehicle, intending to make her own way to the slumber party, or Martin attempts to assault Betty and she runs from the vehicle to get away from him. Betty is most likely carrying her saxophone in it's case at this point. I believe this for two reasons, first it's a very expensive instrument and Betty would have been reluctant to leave it behind. Secondly, it would make a useful weapon if necessary. So Betty flees Martin's car and he chases after her, and at this point the Phantom killer, who has been watching this couple with the plan of making them his next victims, realises that his targets are getting away. He runs after Paul Martin and shoots him, which alerts Betty to the fact that her life ia now in very real danger. Betty manages to outrun the killer for a good distance and at some point dumps the saxophone because it's weight is slowing her down. It's not enough to save her however. The killer catches up and kills Betty. That's my theory and thanks for such an awesome podcast!

Another problem listening on stitcher. This one starts okay then changes into the Dahmer episode. Something is up with your Stitcher feed. it's not a problem with the app. I listen to dozens of podcasts and this is the only one with problems leaping between episodes.

JTR I appreciate the heads up but all we do is send a RSS feed to iTunes and Stitcher maybe for some reason our website providers feed doesn't match well with Stitcher. I don't know. I have looked into why this happens and can't find an answer. I'm sorry buddy. Thank you for listening even with the jumping around problem. -Captain I will keep looking for the reason

You could at least have the decency to spell Danny's name correctly. It's Davis, not Davies.

Hi guys! I LOVE your show. I listen absolutely every week and I was so excited to see that all of the past episodes are now on Sticher. But it sounds like the Jeffery Dahmer episode is intertwined with this one. I don’t know if it’s a problem with the app or what but it looks like some other listeners have seen this as well. If you could look into the issue that would be awesome. Thank you so much for making this podcast. Cheers!
