December 6th, 2014 a volunteer fire department is responding to a car blaze call when they are met with the unthinkable. A young woman has been set on fire and left for dead. Media sources are quick to report the woman was trying to communicate with the first responders. She unfortunately passed away shortly after she was attacked. Was the young woman able to name her killer? If she did why would it take a year to make an arrest? With Jessica Chambers' murder the focal point of so many news headlines why does the public know so little about the crime? Tonight we step into the garage and examine this very difficult and horrific case.

Very well presented, the fact that I could hear that this was a difficult story to share with us , makes you guys worthy of more than a few beers.

Could it have been auto-brewery syndrome that caused her BAC?

HC - I was thinking the same thing. Also, despite what they may say, there is no reliable way to test for marijuana intoxication. It simply doesn't exist. With chronic users, THC can build up (especially in heavier people). This means that for some chronic users, their testable levels would be roughly the same as someone who just smoked for the first time in their life. It's also interesting to note that they found cardiac fibrosis on autopsy, which actually appears in alcoholics. They didn't find any other damage, but that is certainly interesting. If you've seen "There's Something Wrong With Aunt Diane", it closes with Jay Schuler having a laugh about the fact that no one knows she smokes cigarettes in her family. She made a joke about how the documentary would out her as a smoker. But there's nooooo way Diane could have hidden something? They didn't touch on the fact that she was prescribed Ambien, but that's interesting as well. I think the explanation is the simplest one, they stayed up late drinking and smoking for their last night of vacation. She woke up hungover, feeling like shit and had a bit of a drink when the store didn't have aspirin. That got out of hand, and she crashed.

Thank you, Captain for the warning. This was the only episode so far that I could not listen to the entirety of it.

I feel as watching the first 5 seconds of the video ..it looked like a sketchy neighborhood. I feel like she was going to the party, stopped for gas and cigs and the person off camera was the person she was getting weed from.I didn't hear anything about her doing drugs but one can assume if the man charged with her murder sells weed and since they haven't released call logs i'm assuming the missing 90 minutes was a drug deal gone horribly wrong and the fire was to destroy evidence since he did assult her and he didnt want his dna found

Tellis trial ended with a mistrial. What does this mean for the case and what was the "smoking gun" they used to charge him with her murder? Will y'all do an update?

This case still haunts me. Not only because it is near home, but because of the circumstances involved. So sad and tragic. You guy need to do an update now.. The first trial has ended & they will seek a retrial after the mistrial result.

After listening to this case and hearing the savagery that was committed against this girl I had to look up further info and was surprised by what transpired at the trial. I do not understand it.

New trial schedule for 24 Sep. 2018. Hopefully they can figure this one out. I feel like she wouldve been in so much shock and pain that whatever she said likely made no sense in her mind. They need more evidence than just 'eric or derrick' to get this guy.
