Love the show, just wanted to add a comment about the Tara case.... you spent a couple minutes discussing the card in the door...... the card didn’t necessarily have to be tucked between the door and the frame, it could had a window or some loose trim on the door itself that the card was tucked into which would explain it not falling if the door was opened on sunday

I’m still on part 1... this ex boyfriend being an ex cop & military just screams red flags! Her lamp broken & clock unplugged says a struggle to me & maybe the suspect just threw her blanket back on the bed & that’s why her sister noticed it. Can’t wait for part 2

Who ever did this, knows her and or the dog. She doesn't seem to me to be the "type" to leave her dog outside for the night. Maybe She does leave the dog outside. Try breaking into a house with any kind of dog you don't know, Inside or outside dog. It doesn't make sense to me that a stranger could approach a house anytime of the day and a big dog like that does not raise a fuss. The unsub knew her and the dog, well. imho.

First off I want to say you guys have the best true crime podcast. I’m kinda bummed that Payne did the series on this case and not you guys. I know you guys don’t do cases in that fashion but you should. I would love to listen to you guys dissect a single case Over the course of 8-10 episodes . Kind of like criminology with mike Ferguson. But don’t stop the garage ,You’s the shit

I love your podcast. But I don't understand why you would cover this case. It has been fully covered by Payne Lindsey which lead to an arrest in the case. There are so many unsolved and uncovered cases out there to chose from. Why this one?

So about the 100 dollars found in her car..... could that have been taken from her house, and the two men arrested moved her car, they forgot to take it ? seems to me if Ryan had gone to "just" do a burglary, he wouldnt have left the money

Hi Teejay, I agree that it may have been a "strange" pick to cover this case but a lot of people still have not heard this case and we have received a ton of request to cover this. As we said when we first started... We encourage the Garage Army to communicate with us, so we responded. Next week a new case! Cheers Nic

Listening to this case on the Up and Vanished podcast was my introduction to true crime. Once you've listened to Nic and the Cap's version invest the time to listen to the episodes by Payne. Wow. Lots of rabbit holes in this one. Keep up the good work. I'm addicted. Always happy to discover a new brew or two.

Hello - I'm really glad you covered this case because I became very annoyed with U&V about half way through the season. It became less about information and more about their tour and self congratulations. I know they brought attention to the case and that's a good thing, but I became disillusioned with the content after the arrest. Nuff said! My thoughts: I actually believe Bo Dukes. I understand people think Ryan and Bo's roles are reversed, but it makes sense when you think about it. Who would you call if you needed help cleaning up a crime scene? I'd probably call somebody like Bo who was kind of shady and would help. Plus, Ryan is clearly self-loathing. Its my observation that people aren't either good or bad. We all have some good and bad in us, and its not black and white. Ryan's self-destructive behavior since the crime makes me believe Bo even more. What I will never believe is that Ryan went to Tara's house to rob her. If you were going to break into somebody's house to rob them, would you choose a teacher whose car is in the driveway? That makes no sense to me and I believe he went there for another reason. If Tara's poor body was burned we'll probably never know the truth.
