Man, what a case! What are the odds 3 women who previously worked together (flight attendants) all meet violent demises? And another girl from Linda's HS was murdered? I'm struggling to get past all that!

Appreciate your efforts to complete the picture for each crime. You paint vivid portraits of events and even make me feel as though I had lived through some of them. End result: I am now more aware of my suroundings, and I am ore ready to assist other individuals.

I have a hard time believing that Valerie went to Barrington High School- Kenilworth is more than 20 miles away- on the North Shore. Barrington is a Northwest suburb. She probably went to New Trier. They might have known each other for a different reason. Debutants maybe? My father was in the same class as Linda Bulow Bricca at BHS. I'll ask him about Valerie. I was not expecting that Barrington connection! Also the Briccas are buried in Cary, Ill- which is not Barrington. Only a person from this area would care about these details- but since they are being used to tie the victims together I thought it was an important point to make.

Thank you Tori, The Barrington connection was listed in the Cincinnati news papers at the time of the murders. Valerie was younger than Linda and your father. She may have attended Barrington then the family moved after she finished school. Valerie was murdered when she was a young adult. My feeling has always been that it was either the doctor or someone that lived in the neighborhood. Interesting Zodiac tie in though none the less. Cheers, Nic

Even though the Dr. is a highly suspicious character, I don't blame him for refusing an interview. What if there was evidence (such as fingerprints) in the Bricca home? Maybe he didn't want an affair to be confirmed. If he did have an affair and cake clean, what would the physical evidence prove? It wouldn't really help the investigation because if he had an affair at the house it would make sense for physical evidence of the Dr.'s to be found there. With no other solid leads, this evidence would only be used against him. We see wrongful convictions like this all the time. Also, the Captain mentioned that the investigators should look at the Dr.'s medical records to do some testing. Don't you need a warrant for that ??

In relation to the violent attack on Linda Bricca's former colleagues Lonnie Trumbull and Lisa Wick in Seattle, which is suggested to be the work of Ted Bundy, I have located a description of the man by the survivor Lisa Wick, in the Chicago Tribune dated 15 July 1966: "a white man, about 30 years old, about 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing about 165 pounds. She said he had thinning blonde hair." http://archives.chicagotribune.com/1966/07/15/page/9/article/stewardess-gives-details-about-killer Does that sound like Bundy ?? Can anyone locate additional details of the supposed United Airlines drugs bust/drugs case? Also, do we know for a fact that the dogs were sedated? Thanks. AB.

AB, We do not know for a fact that the dogs were sedated. That was something that was thought of days or maybe a week into the investigation. By the time they came up with that idea there was no way to test for it. Thank you for finding the newspaper article. The description does not match Bundy. Makes you wonder though. If Bundy didn't commit that crime wonder if he read about it and found some inspiration there. Cuz it sounds a lot like several of his future crimes.

My 2009 crime anthology Queen City Gothic has a chapter on the Bricca case...it is the longest essay ever written about it. My third book coming out late this year will go inside the 1966 Bricca investigation with information never before published.

JT thanks for the comment. I've read your book and had the privilege of meeting you when you gave a presentation on the Bricca case several years ago at a Price Hill restaurant. I was crazy about the case so I made the 2 hour drive to hear you talk. You did a wonderful job. Please tell us the title and date available so we all can pick up a copy. Cheers, Nic

Nic...My new book about the Bricca Murders, Summer's Almost Gone, is on the market and selling at a torrid pace. As the only writer granted access to the long suppressed Bricca case file, 80% of the information in my book has never been published before. So everything we knew about Bricca before has changed. I've done a few podcasts on it already, and would be thrilled to be part of a NEW Bricca cast on True Crime Garage. Let's schedule something soon... JT Townsend
