Vanishing Women ////// 39

TrueCrimeGarage.com

In 15 months six women have gone missing or have been found dead from Chillicothe, Ohio. Six missing or dead women would be alarming in any city of any size but with a population of just over 22,000 people it's especially troublesome. This week in the garage Nic and the Captain will discuss this small town tragedy, each victim in detail and explore what a lot of people are asking...
Is there a serial killer preying upon women in Chillicothe?

Another great episode! I was thinking that you might recommend Dreamland, by Sam Quinones, which is about the rise of opiate addiction in small town U.S.A. Captain, you'd love it. http://tinyurl.com/hwbch3n

You guys were hilarious this episode. I don't feel it took away though from the meaning like some other podcasts do. Totally made my day though.

Wow! I was surprised to learn that the captain attended the same recording school as I did years ago, in Masseyville!.

I have to say that Nic should really laugh more at the Captain's jokes. I kept giggling (as I often do) at the Captain's one-liners (Holiday Inn). Ha ha. Nic doesn't seem to be so amused. Not a big sense of humor, Nic? Laugh a little. The Captain is funny.

You guys might be on to something, may be a construction worker who travels in and out of town. It is strange there are not more leads, unless the police officers are keeping them to themselves. There may be videos at some of the hotels in the area which could shed light on the cases.

Why does all the bad stuff happen in Ohio? You guys are really scaring me away from this place. Is anyone safe there :( anyways, I really liked this episode. I've made a point to remind all my friends and family (and put it in writing) that if I go missing, I didn't run away or kill myself.

Rina unfortunately bad stuff happens every where. Ohio is absolutely great. I love living here and will always have a home here. We live in Ohio so this means we are a little more aware of whats going on here and tend to feature a lot of cases from Ohio. Don't be scared!!! Nic

Hey guys! Chillicothe is my home town. A family member of mine actually lives on that block of Bridge/Second where a lot of these women were last seen. It is definitely an area littered with drugs, crime, sexual predators and prostitution. (Not a safe area for children by any means.) It was strange to watch the Vanishing Women shows because I know the area so well, however, I didn't know any of the women or their families. This whole thing upsets me because Chillicothe was such a great place to grow up. My girlfriends and I worked late nights and early mornings at a fast food place on Bridge/Second when we were in high school and we never once had to worry about our safety. The heroin epidemic has really taken a toll...not just in Chillicothe, but everywhere, sadly. The Captain made me laugh out loud in this episode though, so just wanted to say...I LIKE YOUR JIB! Keep up the good work :)
