Catherine, the tossing of the Captain's comments is the best part of the show for some of us. And "unnecessary" and "inappropriate" are subjective.

That is one of my favorite parts. Brings some comic relief to the tension of these crimes. Don't change Captain!

First - Thanks for running the Howard serial killer call. 2nd - “Clay” has a northeast kinda accent, and before he said he killed in NOLA, I thought he was the LISK.

@ Eddie - hmmm, that's an interesting thought... Maybe he is in or near NOLA but didn't kill there??? Maybe he feels safe calling in because he is far from his Dirty Deeds. Russell Ellwood - (maybe Clay) is from Ohio - not quite northeast accent as you hear us Ohio boys talking every week but definitely more so than NOLA.

Addicted to this podcast! I listen all day while working and it's made my days so much for enjoyable. Even Captain Obvious' inappropriate remarks....I find myself snickering out loud! Thank you for doing the Ebby Steppach case! I'm a family friend and any coverage she gets is one step closer to finding justice for her!
