This lead looks promising, but I am not getting too hopeful until they release more info. What a certified POS he his and I hope if nothing else, he burns in hell for what he did to the innocent 9-year-old that he tortured and nearly killed. Thank God for good police work that saved her life!!

I know there has been multiple POIs in this case, but this guy tops them all for me. The picture of BG has always never made complete sense to me, but now looking at it with fresh eyes, it's clear that BG has a dog or puppy underneath this jacket. This alone explains almost all unanswered questions I have with this case. The fact this new suspect or POI has dogs, one that he used in an attack on a young girl, connects the two in my mind. If we want to reach even further, I think that this guy could even have a hand in the Evansdale murders as well, because my gut tells me that a dog or puppy was used in the abduction of those girls as well. More of a hunch since I don't have a picture of the suspect in that case carrying what appears to be a dog. Either way I hope Indiana LE are doing their due diligence and that they've finally found the missing piece they've been looking for, the dog or dog connection.

Just watched the Inside Edition clip on this .... I don’t know if I’m looking for something that isn’t there, but he’s got the same shifty walk (though less pronounced than when on the old bridge) as bridge guy.

I must admit, since this new lead has come out I have been scouring the web for any piece of info or updates. I want Justice so badly for these two sweet girls. When I saw his face, it was hard not to think that this may be the guy. I was comparing his walk in court to the BG walk, comparing his voice, google mapping the distance. Thank you guys for doing what you do. I knew you would cover this. I can always count on you to bring it.

The raccoon eyes on this poor girl could also indicate head injury-if the blow to the head is severe enough it causes the brain to “hit” the front of the skull with velocity damaging parts of the meninges and surrounding blood vessels-same thing happened to Karla Homolka after Paul Bernardo hit her over the head with a heavy torch-this new suspect is a monster-I hope it’s the bridge guy to give the Delphi parents some sense of peace and justice-I wish the really graphic details of the sexual assault weren’t released for the girls privacy.

Glad you guys are covering this development. I don't think he's Bridge Guy but I love Captain's description of him and I think he's a great suspect worthy of discussion. Can't wait to hear what you guys think in part two. Speaking of Delphi, I just listened to the episodes on the Evansdale murders and a few similarities are jumping out at me: 1) both sets of girls were abducted off a recreational trail, and a section of the trail where they were trapped (in Delphi by the height of the bridge, in Evansdale by the chain link fences on either side of the trail), and 2) in both cases the girls were killed and/or dumped on a local hunting ground. The way he trapped them and where he took him tell me the killer in both cases is an experienced hunter. Also, 3) there is a Tyson pork processing plant near both towns. Could there be a connection? I never get to have a beer with you guys 'cause I'm always listening while I'm driving, but I've got a good pale ale going now. My favorite!

A coupla things: 1. Looking at Chadwell's photo and the Bridge Guy image capture, what strikes me is Chadwell's sloping shoulders and how that fits *really* well with Bridge Guy. Just comparing body shapes/silhouettes would be helpful, I suspect. 2. I'll spare you the long version, but I was subjected to frequent violence as a child and teen, and when I was 14 I was certain I was going to be killed. It's one of those watershed changes that never leaves. I'm now in my 60s and I see neighbors my age wrestling with issues I dealt with decades ago, simply because they're now at the point where they're realizing they're really, really going to die someday. Been there. Done that. I absolutely do not believe an early "death" has to permanently ruin someone, but you never get to live in denial the way most people do a lot of their lives. Not sure which is better. Survivors help anchor the world in key ways. If we don't initially self-destruct (about a 50:50 IF, as far as I've heard), we usually end up being the boring, but necessary person in the group who makes The Good Choices. (Shyamalan was talking about this in the Unbreakable trilogy. Ditto Red Riding Hood's solo in "Into the Woods.") I just know Victim #1 is now on the long road of asking questions most ten-year-olds don't even begin to think about. She will be happy again, but she'll never again get to be naive. But, maybe naive ain't that great anyway.

This is where you hope there is useable DNA from the Delphi scene - all the rest is just unhelpful speculation!

Very on the fence with this guy, but something tells me it’s not him One thought though: he has fairly prominent lower neck tattoos. Many people think bridge guy is overdressed and wearing some sort of scarf. Is this to conceal the tatts...? That said, the second sketch has the neck exposed with no tatts . Capt: it’s pretty clear you have your own suspect based on the ep from a few weeks back and that Chadwell doesn’t match. Is there any update on your man?

and regarding the hidden dog/puppy theory. Can anyone who believes in this theory please explain to me why bridge guy felt the need to hide the dog/puppy under his jacket rather than walk with it on a leash or something??? If he needed to carry it over the bridge, why put it in your jacket??

I am so glad that girl survived but how horrible to listen to the details of her attack. I agree w Captain, i would definitely want to kick this guys ass!! I can't help but hope this is BG so libby and abby's family can have justice. And I gotta hope this asshole gets some prison justice and the girl gets some help & support for her trauma

Can’t they use some sort of voice recognition to see if this mister is bridge guy?

Don’t forget that Ron Logan was also, even if only briefly, under the public eye as a potential suspect.

Thank you so much for these update episodes. I still can't get over the timing involved in the rescue of this little girl. How do you stop thinking about the enormity of what's happened to her? I can't. Thank god this guy has been removed from the population. I hope he's guilty of the Delphi murders. This stuff is devastating.

Why is this episode labeled "New Suspect" when there hasn't been any official confirmation from LE that he's anything more than a POI?

Thanks Nic and Captain for the update. The moment I saw the photo of this suspect, I thought “ yes, this is BG”. He checks so many boxes. I have always suspected that the girls murders were sexually motivated. I have mixed feelings on the death penalty but I want this predator to end up strapped to a table with a paralyzing agent and a potassium chaser running through his veins #justiceforlibbyandabbey Keep the TCG podcasts coming

Great episodes. do we know if James tattoo goes to his hand? In the Bridge Guy photo you can kind of see his hand, which doesn't appear to have any tattoo on it. My second thought is maybe this is why bridge guy is so covered up, not to show his tattoo's?

I'm listening to this episode now and I think Nic makes a good point about when the lock was placed on the door. My parents built their house just before my sister and I were born and the basement door has a chain lock on it so she and I wouldn't go tumbling down accidentally. It was never to lock us in the basement of course! - but to lock us out so we wouldn't get hurt. Thirty years later and the chain is still there because there was never any reason to replace the door and then the chain served its purpose again - to keep the little grand kids from getting hurt. If the suspect put the lock on, then he most likely had nefarious reasons to do so but it's possible the lock was there from a prior owner or tenant and could have a legit reason for being on the door.
