Timothy Madden, the perp, is in the prison I work at. He is on the waiting list for my GED class. Not sure I'll take him, but it's odd to hear a famous podcast cover a perp I see daily.

Thank you for covering this, and as always y’all were so respectful. It’s so important, as heartbreaking as it is, to remember Gabby Doolin. She deserves that much and I’m convinced sharing her story and supporting the work being done to get similar evil locked away will save lives. Thanks again.

Reminds me of a similar case involving a little girl at a small town ballgame with relatives. She went off to play with friends and was never seen again. All I remember is a crap truck with a camper being seen nearby. Sorry, can't recall the names or location, pretty sure it was down South also. Anyone?

While you(s) said he pleaded guilty and still claims to be innocent as he sits in prison. But, that is part and parcel of an Alford plea: the defendant accepts a guilty plea while maintaining their innocence...so, yeah. Also, I was just curious as this got glossed over and you never really said...Did he own a van? Great show, guys. Stay amazing.

Scottville, KY is not a part of the Charlottesville Metropolitan Area as stated in this episode. That’s in Virginia. It’s near Bowling Green and Glasgow, where I grew up. Lol. Y’all better check the map. Thanks for covering the case. I remember when this happened.

This couldn’t of been his first time, reminds of the “Candyman” case, where the urge to fulfill their craving is so overwhelming that they do it in the absolute worst circumstance. With your own kids feet away & little to no effort to cover it up. I was always of the belief that these POS get more calculated as they continue to kill, however it’s usually the opposite.

@ Moon Minx - So the Violi case is the one when a van was used in the kidnapping. The van in that case is believed to have been stolen from another state. We didn't worry about Madden's vehicle situation too much because of this detail. Anyone could have stolen the van. We will cover the Violi case - hopefully soon. Cheers Nic

@ Mollie - wow, I'm not sure how I screwed that up. I'm familiar with the Bowling Green Kentucky area a little bit but clearly not great at all. Actually I'm pretty sure I know how that got screwed up - I wrote out some of my notes while on a miserable 3 hour plane ride - my internet was bad and I was trying to prep something for the trailer after finishing most of the notes for the show portion the previous day. No one should feel bad for me though... I was rushing back from vacation to get to the studio. I brought plenty of research I had collected with me but didn't have info on the immediate area. Thanks for the correction, I owe you one. Cheers Nic

This reminds me so much of the Morgan Nick case. I wonder if this douche is linked in some way. Sounds like the same MO to me. Never the less this was a tough case, and I could hear it in both your voices. Thanks for always putting on a great show, and covering these tough cases. Cheers guys!

Thanks Shannon. I agree. Timmy Madden would have been about 18 when Morgan was taken so not impossible. With both of the Morgan cases Nick and Violi I'm convinced that there is something larger at play in both. Not sure if Madden is connected. But here's something interesting... He kept saying he took a polygraph. Now I couldn't confirm that outside of statements that Tim and his Father in law provided. But I am wondering if he passed the poly? He could be one of those types??? Cheers Nic

@Eileen, Are you referring to the Morgan Nick case? She vanished in in June 95’ from Arkansas. She was watching a baseball game with her mother, & went to play in a field with some other girls. There is a truck mentioned in Morgan’s story.
